Do you enjoy combining technical expertise with project coordination and finding the right solutions for customer needs?

As Borncut’s new Sales Project Engineer, you will play a central role in supporting our international sales team, turning customer requirements into tailored cutting solutions for food processors worldwide.

Based at our R&D and sales facilities in Hadsten, Denmark, you will work across sales, engineering, procurement and production to develop technical layouts, coordinate sales projects and help bring complex solutions from initial concept to commercial proposal.

Your key responsibilities

You will connect customer needs with technical possibilities, ensuring that each solution is well-designed, commercially sound and feasible to deliver. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management & Layouts: Lead technical sales projects and design detailed production layouts using AutoCAD & Solidworks (2D/3D). Specify system configurations tailored to specific customer processing requirements.

  • Technical Sales Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the global sales team, distributors, and customers. Translate customer needs into precise engineering specifications.

  • Quotation & Estimation: Collaborate with procurement and production teams to perform technical assessments, cost estimations, and deliver accurate commercial project proposals.

  • Product Coordination: Align closely with the internal product development and manufacturing engineering departments to ensure feasibility, product scalability, and timely delivery of engineered solutions.

Your qualifications

You are structured, analytical and technically minded, with an eye for detail and an ability to turn complex requirements into workable solutions. We imagine you bring:

  • Technical background: A degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, industrial design or a related technical field, combined with relevant professional experience.

  • CAD skills: Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks or similar 2D/3D design tools, including the development of system configurations and production layouts.

  • Relevant industry experience: Experience with industrial food processing equipment, automation or heavy machinery is an advantage.

  • Commercial understanding: Strong analytical skills and an understanding of technical sales, cost estimation and project planning.

  • Communication skills: Fluent written and spoken English, as you will work closely with colleagues, distributors and customers around the world. Danish is an advantage.

What you can look forward to

As our new Sales Project Engineer, you will become an important link between our technical expertise and international sales activities. You can look forward to:

  • A key role: Making a direct contribution to customer solutions and Borncut’s continued international growth.

  • Technical development: Building in-depth knowledge of our advanced cutting systems and expanding your engineering expertise.

  • International collaboration: Working with sales colleagues, distributors and customers across markets.

  • A close-knit working environment: Joining an agile team with short lines of communication, a hands-on approach and a shared focus on finding the right solutions.
