Borncut acquires Baltic Steelwork in Bornholm

Strategic acquisition brings key manufacturing capabilities under one roof to accelerate global growth from Bornholm

BORNHOLM, DENMARK – Borncut A/S has reached an agreement with Ocean Prawns A/S to acquire all shares in Baltic Steelwork A/S in Bornholm, Denmark. Baltic Steelwork has been an important sup-plier of critical steel components for Borncut’s high-performance portioning machines, which are devel-oped and manufactured in Bornholm. The agreement includes Baltic Steelwork’s 2,400 m² state-of-the-art stainless steel production facility in Bornholm and its activities.

Baltic Steelwork has been an valued partner, and by bringing these activities into Bornholm, we are able to keep key produc-tion, assembly, and quality processes under one roof in Bornholm," says Ingmar Baars, CEO of Born-cut.

The handover will take place on 1 September 2026and marks the beginning of a process to combine all activities from Borncut’s current location into the new location. Borncut aims to use the facility and the current state-of-the-art equipment for stainless steel production solely for its own activities to produce portioning machines and other auxiliary equipment. As part of the integration, the Baltic Steelwork name will be phased out.
